Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape and execute firm strategy.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the firm’s goals.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage and optimize resources across Accounting, HR, IT, Marketing, and Business Development.
  • Utilize KPI analytics to drive the firm to achieve and exceed its budgeted goals.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

A Fast-Track to Advancement

The Director of Operations role is designed as a stepping stone to becoming the firm’s Chief Operating Officer (COO). Upon achieving a certain level of success in this role, the Director will be promoted to COO. This promotion is critical to freeing the current COO to focus more on business development and overall firm strategy leadership.

Must-Have Competencies

  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent strategic planning and execution abilities.
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence.
  • Experience in KPI analytics.
  • Minimum of a college degree from an accredited college or university.

Nice-to-Have Competencies

  • Experience in running a professional services firm, especially a law firm.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  • PMP designation.
  • Experience in Accounting, HR, IT, Marketing, and Business Development.

Experience

  • Experience in a similar operational leadership role.
  • Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is a plus.
