Cinda Smith, MPA


Cinda, a seasoned professional, currently serves as the driving force behind Hook Law’s business development and client relations initiatives. Her primary responsibilities involve fortifying existing partnerships, expanding the firm’s client portfolio, and devising comprehensive client development strategies. In her multifaceted role, she also takes charge of overseeing the firm’s marketing, communications, and social media endeavors, in addition to various visibility and brand-building initiatives.

Cinda brings decades of experience in executive and organizational management. She has a proven track record of delivering exceptional value to clients and spearheading efficiency enhancements through innovative processes. She previously worked as a Learning Area Manager at Amazon, where during her tenure she orchestrated the onboarding and training of 2,300 team members while identifying and addressing training and process efficiency gaps.

Cinda’s contributions extend to the academic realm, where she held the position of Managing Production Editor for “Real Estate Economics,” the oldest international academic peer-reviewed journal in real estate and urban economics. Moreover, her leadership ability was invaluable in her role as Executive Director, COO, and CFO of the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association, where she played a pivotal role in conceiving and executing strategic initiatives encompassing marketing, business development, and managing strategic relations.

Cinda and her husband are residents of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. With her wealth of experience and dedication to fostering meaningful relationships, Cinda continues to be a driving force in the areas of business development and client relations, making her an essential part of Hook Law’s team.
