Amanda Smith joined Hook Law in 2025, bringing with her a strong foundation in legal support and a deep commitment to client advocacy. Following her honorable service in the United States Navy, Amanda transitioned into the legal field by beginning work on a degree in Paralegal Studies. Her military background instilled in her a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a calm, solutions-oriented approach to high-pressure situations—qualities that continue to serve her well in her legal career.
Amanda began her legal journey as an intake case manager for a personal injury and nursing home malpractice firm. In that role, she developed a keen understanding of the unique challenges faced by older adults and individuals with special needs. Her ability to listen with empathy and communicate clearly made her a trusted first point of contact for vulnerable clients and their families. Prior to joining Hook Law, Amanda worked as a litigation paralegal at a local personal injury firm, where she honed her skills in case preparation, document drafting, discovery coordination, and trial support. She is particularly skilled in managing complex case files, navigating medical records, and ensuring that every detail is accounted for throughout the litigation process.
Amanda was drawn to Hook Law by her passion for building meaningful relationships with clients and making a tangible difference in their lives. She thrives on creating positive, supportive experiences for those navigating difficult legal challenges and takes pride in being a steady, compassionate presence throughout the legal journey.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys relaxing in nature—especially bird and squirrel watching—and spending time with her family. She shares her home with her beloved German Shepherd, Leo, her Siamese cat, Felix, and a playful new kitten.
