DeeDee Lott

DeeDee Lott serves as Chief Legal Officer of Hook Law, where she provides strategic leadership to the firm’s attorneys, paralegals, and professional services team. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the delivery of legal services, improving systems and processes, organizing the firm’s practice for scale, and designing training and succession plans that build long-term resilience across the firm.

DeeDee returned to her hometown of Virginia Beach and joined Hook Law in December 2025. She is a seasoned attorney with more than 20 years of in-house executive leadership in organizations ranging from large multinational companies to emerging, closely held startups. She has worked in innovation-driven businesses throughout the country across a wide range of industries, including software, information technology, professional services, contract food services, alcoholic beverages, and appliance development. Early in her career, DeeDee founded and grew a boutique law firm serving emerging businesses in the Charlotte, North Carolina area.

DeeDee is known for her ability to quickly connect with people, her solutions-oriented perspective, and her unique talent for building strategy through curiosity. She challenges assumptions to gain deeper understanding, bridges gaps through inquisitive communication, and brings a calm, thoughtful presence to complex challenges. Her clients and colleagues alike value her alignment with both immediate needs and long-term goals.

She brings deep experience in complex transactions, contract drafting and negotiation, corporate organizations, litigation, and business dispute resolution. Her practice at Hook Law continues to focus on estate planning, estate administration, and general business matters, reflecting her commitment to client continuity alongside her firm leadership responsibilities.

DeeDee resides in Virginia Beach with her husband and two children. Her family has cruised 16 Caribbean countries and the East Coast on a catamaran sailboat. She enjoys travel, reading novels, and international cuisine.
