Taya Banica

aya joins Hook Law as a paralegal supporting the firm’s Estate and Trust Administration practice in the Virginia Beach office. She previously served as a School Certifying Official, where she managed cases involving federal education benefit regulations, reviewed and maintained confidential documentation, and interpreted regulatory requirements set by the Department of Veterans Affairs — experience that gives her a strong grounding in regulatory compliance and detailed casework.

Taya brings a careful, regulation-minded approach to her work, along with a growing foundation in financial and legal matters. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Financial Planning and Law at Regent University, building on the analytical and interpretive skills she developed working with federal benefit programs.

Outside of work, Taya resides in Virginia Beach with her husband and dog. She enjoys taking road trips and spending time outdoors.
